Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Western Carolina women's golf team finished the weekend in sixth place Sunday out of 35 schools with a three round score of 931 at the Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic golf tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The team shot a 312 in round three after shooting 315 and 304 in the first two rounds.

Johanna Lundberg ended on top for the Catamounts with a score of 231 (77, 80, 74) to tie for 18th. Line Cordes came in behind her with a 233 (78, 76, 79) tying for 29th, followed by Saturday's leader, Brandy Andersen, who tied for 35th with a three round score of 234 (78, 71, 85). Becca Twiner tied for 48th with a 236 (84, 77, 75) and Ashley Hovda tied for 118th with a 251 (82, 85, 84).

UNC Wilmington finished the day as the tournament champions with a team score of 897 (303, 299, 295). East Carolina's Adrienne Millican remained in first for the second straight day to become the individual champion out of a field of 183 golfers, shooting a three round 218 (73, 71, 74).

The Lady Cats travel to Virginia next week to appear in the Radford University Lady Highlander Tournament Sept. 16-17.
