Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Western Carolina women's golf team jumped into fourth place among 35 schools, shooting a 304 in day two of the Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic golf tournament in Myrtle Beach Saturday. The team's score after two days stands at 619 (+43).

Freshman Brandy Andersen took the lead for the Lady Cats, shooting a one under par 71 to put her in a tie for fifth. Line Cordes also graced the top 20 coming in at a tie for 18th after shooting a 76 for the day. Yesterday's team leader, Johanna Lundberg, shot a 80 to put her in a tie for 35th. Becca Twiner improved on Friday's score by seven strokes, shooting a 77 to tie for 69th. Ashley Hovda shot a 85 to tie for 112th.

UNC Wilmington takes the lead, shooting a 299 as a team. East Carolina's Adrienne Millican moved into first individually after shooting a 71.

The Lady Cats conclude the tournament Sunday.
