Myrtle Beach, S.C. - For day one of the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic weather did not play a major role in the tournament. On day two, stormy and rainy conditions were the major players in the field and play on the course has been cancelled for the day. The final round will take place on Sunday morning weather permitting.

Eighteen teams teed off Saturday morning just after 8 am under a light rain, but the rain grew in intensity as the round progressed. With most teams on their eighth hole of the day, play was suspended for the day due to the heavy rain.

The decision to postpone the tournament until tomorrow was made at an 11:30 coaches meeting. The format of the event tomorrow will be the top 24 teams from yesterday's results will play the Green course in the tournament championship with a shotgun start at 8 am. Teams 25-36 will play the Silver course in the flighted championship getting off at 9:30 pm in a shotgun start. Due to weather and play conditions, the gold course will not be used in tomorrow's final round.

Heading into tomorrow's final round Western Carolina stands in ninth place with a 314. Coastal Carolina leads the tournament with a team score of 296 which is ten shots clear of James Madison and Middle Tennessee State. The College of Charleston, the host school of the event sits 12 shots back at 308. James Madison's Carol Green is the individual leader going into Sunday shooting a 71 on Friday. Coastal Carolina's Danielle Renner and Natalie Cruse are one shot back at even par 72. Western Carolina is led by Brandy Andersen with a 76 from round one.
