Lexington, S.C. - Due heavy rainfall overnight in Lexington, Monday’s originally scheduled second round has been postponed until Tuesday. A start time for Tuesday’s second round has yet to be determined.
Two-time defending conference champion Furman shot an 8-under-par 280 through 18 holes on Sunday to take a 20-stroke lead over Chattanooga heading into the second round of play. Furman’s Alice Chen, Natalie Srinivasan and ETSU’s Loy Hee Ying are in a three-way tie for the individual lead after shooting 3-under-par 69 Sunday.
Western Carolina sophomore Natalia Villavicencio sits in a tie for 14th place to lead the Catamount scoring five to a tie for seventh-place after the initial 18 holes. Junior Alyssa Morahan and senior Ashley Thompson are both tied for 35th overall with matching scores of 9-over par, 81 from Sunday.
