Richmond, Ky. - The Western Carolina women's golf team jumped from sixth to third place after day two of the Eastern Kentucky Classic in Richmond, Ky. Western shot the lowest team score of the day at 311.
WCU has three players in the top 15 of the 87-golfer, 15-team field. Freshman Johanna Lundberg leads the way for the Catamounts again today, sitting in fourth place with a 153 (75-78). Freshman Line Cordes makes a huge jump from 23rd to a tie for ninth place with a 156 (80-76). Rebecca Twiner improves her score by four today, shooting a 77 (81-77=158), to put her in a tie for 15th.
Murray State University has moved into first place with a team score of 624 after two rounds (312-312). Samantha Fox of Austin Peay is still in first overall with a 150 (72-78).
The final round of the three-day tournament continues tomorrow in Richmond, Ky.
