Baton Rouge, La. - Western Carolina shot its best round of the LSU-Cleveland Golf Classic in the final day, but it was not enough to come back and the team tied for 10th overall with a 937. UNC Wilmington took home the first place trophy after combining for an 889 over the three-round tournament.
Line Cordes led the Lady Catamounts in a tie for 15th after shooting a 227 (75-75-77). Brandy Andersen and Johanna Lundberg shot their best rounds in the final day (77), ending with a 237 and 239, respectively.
Wilmington's Amelie Farrah finished as the individual winner, shooting 76, 69 and 72 to finish with a 217.
Western now begins preparations for the Southern Conference Championship, scheduled for April 20-22, at the Waynesville Country Club.
