Baton Rouge, La. - The Western Carolina women's golf team is tied for fifth place at the LSU-Cleveland Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La., with Tulane and Jacksonville State, each shooting a 312 for the day.
The Catamounts were in 13th place out of 14 teams after nine holes of play. The team made an incredible come-back on the back nine to get to their current position behind LSU (300), UNC Wilmington (305), College of Charleston (307) and Augusta State (309).
Line Cordes is leading the way for the Cats in a tie for sixth place with a 75 on the par-72 course. Rebecca Twiner, Ashley Hovda and Brandy Andersen are all tied for 30th with a 79 and Johanna Lundberg sits in a tie for 52nd place after shooting an 81 in round one.
