Stockbridge Ga. - Western Carolina women's golf finished tied for 11th at the John Kirk / Lady Panther Intercollegiate Tuesday shooting a 306 in the final two rounds to end the tournament with a 617. The tournament is hosted by hosted by Georgia State at the 6,009-yard Eagle's Landing Country Club.
Bianca Melone shaved six strokes off her game in the final two rounds to end the tournament tied for 24th after being tied for 54th on Monday. She shot a 73 after have posted a 79 the day before. She ended with a 152.
Desiree Karlson, who was tied for 11th heading into the final round, finished the tournament tied for 30th. She shot a 78 for a two day total of 153.
As a team, Western Carolina was four strokes behind 10th place Elon who shoot a 613.
The Catamounts return to action on April 14-17 at the Southern Conference Championships in Charleston, S.C.
