WALLACE, N.C. - Western Carolina's women's golf team finished eighth at the Lady Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC-Wilmington at River Landing Golf Club on Tuesday. The Catamounts shot a 321 in the final round to fall to 8th place and completed the tournament with a three round total of 934.
Senior Bianca Melone ended the tournament with a three-round total of 223 to tie for sixth place. She shot a 75 on Tuesday to close out the tournament. Catamount teammate Malin Fryk placed in the top-20, tied for 17th place, after shooting an 80 on the last 18 holes of the tournament.
Host UNC-Wilmington won the tournament, shooting a three round total of 884. East Tennessee State placed second with a 901.
The Catamounts return to action on Monday April 2 when they travel to Atlanta, Ga. to participate in the John Kirk/Lady Panter Collegiate hosted by Georgia State. The tournament concludes on Tuesday, April 3.
