2008-09 (Junior): Only competed in five events, 12 rounds, due to injury that sidelined her for most of the second half of the season ... Played in the first two events of the spring season before being held out of the remainder of the season ... Posted a career-best finish at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate, finishing tied for fourth with a consecutive career-low rounds of 71 for a two-under, 142.
2007-08 (Sophomore): Competed in all 10 events on the season, ranking thrd in the team in scoring average (78.65) ... Was Western's top finisher twice on the season - at the season-opening Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Ky., and at the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Kiawah Island, S.C., where she also posted her career-best individual finish (t-14th) ... Carded a career-low round of 71 in the second round of the 2007 Great Smokies Intercollegiate in Waynesville ... Was one of two Catamounts named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholars team -- her second such recognition in as many years.
2006-2007 (Freshman): Competed in 11 of 12 events in her debut collegiate season ... Posted three top-30 finishes on the year ... Set a career-best finish at the Southern Conference Championships with an 18th place performance in her inaugural SoCon Championship ... In her very first round as a Catamount, shot a 73 to establish a season and then-career-best round ... Finished the year with 2039 strokes over 26 rounds for an average of 78.42 strokes per round ... Named to the NGCA All-American Scholar squad.
Prior to Western: Mickelsson completed her third year at the Swedish National Golf High School in Perstorp, Sweden, which is operated by the Swedish Golf Federation and is set up as a training ground for the best junior golfers in Sweden ... Mickelsson is a solid player who won for the first time on the Swedish regional tour in 2001, duplicating her victorious appearance in 2004 ... She also recorded runner-up finishes on the Swedish national tour over each of the past two years.
