Summer of 2005: Finished in the top 10 at her sectional to qualify for the US Women's Amatuer Championship ... On Aug. 2-3, Hovda competed in the Amateur Championship, placing t-100th out of the 156 total golfers from nationwide.
2004-2005: Hovda finished 2nd at SoCon Championship, earning her Second team All-SoCon honors ... Finished with the third-best season at WCU all-time ... Finished her season ranked 4th on the WCU career scoring average list entering her senior year ... Led the Catamounts in five of the six fall events and eight of the ten seasonal tournaments ... Was the individual medalist in the rain-shortened, Wachovia- Great Smokies Intercollegiate, carding a career-low 67, which is the second-lowest in tournament history ... In addition to her win in Waynesville, recorded three top 10 finishes ... Selected as October's Arby's/ Catamount Student Athlete of the Month ... Named the SoCon Women's Golf Athlete of the Month for November.
2003-2004: Competed in all 10 events for the Catamounts with her best two-round score being a 149 at WCU's home tournament to tie for fourth with two other Catamounts...Scored a best three-round total of 229 at the Bradford Creek Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate...Carded a low-round of 72 twice in the fall...One of four WCU women's golfer named National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team...Finished a team-high fifth at the SoCon Championships..Named Second Team All-Conference ... Dean's List Spring of `03.
2002-03: Hovda played in all ten events for the Cats... Shot a career low 70 at the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate where she had a two-round total of 149 to tie for 11th... Had two top 20 and one top 10 finish during the season at the Lady Panther Intercollegiate with a three round total of 226... Finished the year with a 79.62 scoring average... Tied for 89th with a 238(79-80-79) at the NCAA East Regional... Hovda was also named an NGCA All-American Scholar Athlete with her 3.625 GPA.
Summer of 2003: Hovda was the 2003 Ohio State Women's Amateur runner up.
