Presbyterian's Maiken Bing Paulsen edges defending medalist to win

2016-17 (Junior): Played in all 10 of the team's tournaments on the season, averaging 78.77 strokes per round to finish third on the team and rank 36th in the Southern Conference ... Made her WCU debut at the season-opening Golfweek Program Challenge, finishing tied for 30th overall to lead the Catamount scoring five ... A combined 14 of her 26 seasonal rounds were shot in the 70s including a season-low round of 73 at the season-opening tournament ... Recorded a pair of top 20 finishes including tied for 17th at the Terrier Intercollegiate and 18th at the Bulldog Florida Invitational ... Selected to the 2017 Spring Academic All-Southern Conference team with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Prior to Western Carolina: Transferred to WCU from the Univ. of Tampa with two years of eligibility remaining ...
