DURHAM, N.C. - Western Carolina women's basketball (6-3) will play at North Carolina Central University (4-4) at 2 p.m. Thursday, in McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium, in its final game before breaking for Christmas.
The Catamounts are coming off a 56-47 win, at home, over Charleston Southern Monday. North Carolina Central fell to Campbell 56-45 also on Monday night.
Current six-game winning streak is the longest for Western Carolina since the Catamounts won 10 straight in 2009 - during that stretch, WCU also swept through the SoCon Tournament and defeated College of Charleston 101-87 to claim the 2009 SoCon Tournament crown ... The six-game winning streak is also the longest win streak of WCU Head Coach Karen Middleton's five-year tenure at WCU.
Western Carolina is 2-3 in road games this season.
In the last six games, Western Carolina is outscoring opponents by a 7.8 scoring margin and outscoring teams 190 to 133 in the second half.
