Kristen Feemster Blogs About Upcoming Game at Western Kentucky
Dec. 12, 2009
We're coming closer and closer to the New Year which is when I usually stop and take a look at how the team has done so far. Well, so far we've played nine games and have only won two. The bad news is that we did not get off to a great start. The good news is that there is always a chance to turn things around and get to where we want to be. With a few games left before we get a break for Christmas and a chance to get a win on the road tomorrow, I can't think of a better time to start turning the corner. There's no doubt our team has faced adversity since winning the tournament championship last year but we have to remain focused on our goals. Regardless of who's coaching, who's starting, what our record is, what time zone we're in, how many minutes each player plays, how long practice was, or who we're playing, our drive to be the best we can be remains constant. The present challenge for our team is to overcome adversity. We are a team and no one can win alone. Each of us must do her personal best and trust that every other player is doing theirs. Playing Western Kentucky is another opportunity to play the sport we love as well as another chance to start playing like we know we can. They will challenge us to guard shooters and penetration. We will have to focus on rebounding both offensively and defensively. Taking care of the ball and being aggressive on both ends will be important too. I'm excited and ready to show how good we can be. No matter what has happened in the past, each time we step on the floor we will be confident in our ability to do all the things is takes to win. Go cats!
