CULLOWHEE, N.C. -Western Carolina women's basketball hosts Campbell at 7 p.m. Monday night in its season opener.
The Catamounts are coming off a 58-45 season opening win at UNC Asheville on Saturday. Redshirt senior guard Diamond Hunniuctt scored a career-high 16 points in the victory. She was one of 12 players to see action in the game, with all but one Western Carolina player to score against the Bulldogs.
Western Carolina will face a Campbell squad that also got a victory in its season opener. The Camels defeated Barber-Scotia 102-33 in Buies Creek, N.C. on Saturday. All 13 players for Campbell registered a field goal, while junior guard Monique Spry (Wilson, N.C.) paced the team with 16 points in her first action since redshirting last season with an injury.
