CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina men's and women's basketball will each have a game featured on the SportSouth game of the week for the 2009-10 season. Both teams will be facing off against rival Chattanooga.
The Catamount men's team will host the Mocs on February 27 at 7:00 pm in a re-match between the SoCon's co-North Division champions from a year ago. UTC went on to claim the men's conference tournament and automatic bid to the NCAA Field of 64 a season ago.
On January 16, Western Carolina's women's basketball team will travel to Chattanooga in a match-up between the two perennial powers in the Southern Conference. The noon contest will pit the pair of clubs who have won the SoCon Tournament Title the last five years; Western Carolina in 2005 and 2008 and Chattanooga in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
