Johnson Interview on Catamount Tracks Podcast

CULLOWHEE, N. C. – Western Carolina Catamount Tracks Podcast sat down for a one-on-one interview with Lady Catamount basketball player Brooke Johnson and asked her about her progress after her season-ending injury and when fans will see her back on the court.

Johnson, a 6-4 senior center from Seymour, Tennessee, was injured on December 20 against Chattanooga. It sidelined her for the rest of the year and she has spent the spring and summer rehabilitating and getting stronger, so she can be ready to play in the 2008-09 season.

A 2008 ESPN The Magazine District III Second Team Academic All-American, Johnson played just 11 game for the Lady Catamounts in 2007-08, but still lead the team averaging 11.9 points per game and also led the team with 21 blocks. She also ranks fourth in the Western Carolina women’s basketball record books for blocks in a career with 73. Western Carolina opens the season at 7 p.m. November 14 at North Carolina in the first round of the Preseason WNIT.
