CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Members of the Western Carolina Women's basketball team have enjoyed some off the court success this spring. Kendra Eaton, Kristen Feemster, Erin May and Lynsie Lamitie have all garnered various awards and afforded opportunities in their chosen majors.

Eaton, a sophomore forward, was named to the Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar list and was also given the Henry Logan Award by the WCU Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Organization of Ebony Students (OES). She is also waiting to learn if she will be voted on the national Student Athlete Advisory Committee representing the Southern Conference.

Feemster, a freshman forward, was recognized by having the highest GPA, a perfect 4.0, among minority students at Western Carolina University. The College of Applied Sciences awarded May, a senior forward, the William Broadway Award, recognizing the outstanding senior in Environmental Health. Lamitie, a senior forward, went to a conference in California to present her English paper.
