ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Western Carolina women's basketball player Kaila'Shea Menendez closed out a stellar career by being named to the Southern Conference All-Tournamenet Second Team.

Menendez averaged 18.5 points per game in the first round and quarterfinals of the tournament. She led Western Carolina in both games, scoring 21 points in the win against Georgia Southern and 16 points in the loss to eventual Southern Conference Tournament runner-up Appalachian State.

She ended the season averaging 12.2 points per game, leading the Catamounts. In her final season, she was also named to the Southern Conference All-Conference team and SoCon Player of the week. She completed her career with 1,151 points which ranks her 17th all-time in scoring in the Western Carolina women's basketball record books.

Western Carolina ended its season with a 61-43 loss to Appalachian State in the quarterfinals and a record of 14-17.
