Chattanooga, Tenn. - Senior forward Jennifer Gardner scored a conference-tournament high 45 points while setting two SoCon records as the sixth-seeded Western Carolina Lady Catamounts outlasted #5 Georgia Southern, 97-95, in the tournament finals Saturday night.

By virtue of its victory, Western earned the SoCon's automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.
