Chattanooga, Tenn. - Trailing by five with three and a half minutes remaining in regulation, the Western Carolina Lady Catamounts rallied to knock off the second-seeded Davidson Wildcats, 59-58, to advance to the 2005 Kyocera Southern Conference Women's Basketball Championship game.
Western will face fifth-seeded Georgia Southern Eagles at 4:00 pm in the championship game of the tournament.
Three Lady Cats scored in double figures, led by the double-double performance of Jennifer Gardner. She finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Her senior counterparts Lori Tanner and Sigita Maleraite each reached double figures, tallying 12 and 10 respectively.
