Following Catamount Men's and Women's Hoops on Thursday Night

Cullowhee, N.C. - Both of Western Carolina's basketball teams are in action on Thursday night as the regular season comes to a close for the women and the home portion of 2007-08 ends for the men.

The Lady Catamounts, which have earned the second seed in next weekend's Southern Conference tournament, visit the top-seeded Chattanooga Lady Mocs to close the regular season for both squads. UTC downed WCU, 86-81, in late December in the SoCon opener for both squads.

Thursday's women's game will be broadcast by the Catamount Sports Network and can be heard across Western North Carolina on WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 in Cullowhee. The station also offers an online option at

In Cullowhee, the Catamount men wrap up their home schedule by hosting the Wofford College Terriers at 7:03 pm in the Ramsey Center. WCU will recognize its three seniors - Arnold Gore, Negus McKenna and Eric Wilson - prior to tip-off.

WWCU-FM will carry both men's games to wrap-up the regular season as WCU visits Appalachian State at 3:30 pm on Saturday, and travels to UNC Greensboro on Monday night for a 7:00 pm tip against the Spartans.
