| Hilary Beck
Hillary Beck comes to Western Carolina University with one conference ring as a player and one as a coach, having won a conference title as a player at Miami University and then as an assistant, in 2009, at the University of Evansville. She will work with the point guards for the Lady Catamounts, handle team travel, do scouting and film exchange and oversee summer camps.
Beck spent one season as an assistant with the UE coaching staff. While there, Beck worked with the UE backcourt players.
Beck began her collegiate coaching career in 2005, as a student assistant coach at her alma mater under head coach Maria Fantanarosa. Beck then joined long-time University of Arizona coaching legend Joan Bonvicini for two seasons as a graduate assistant coach out west. While at Arizona, Beck was responsible for all video breakdown, scouting, highlights and film exchange as the Wildcats' video coordinator.
Beck received her bachelor's degree in health education in 2005 from Miami University, while minoring in coaching. She also earned a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Arizona in 2008.
A native of Kokomo, Indiana, Beck earned all-state honors in high school at point guard at Kokomo High School in 2001. She then took her playmaking skills east to Oxford, Ohio, where she played four seasons at Miami University. Beck helped the RedHawks to the 2004 Mid-American Conference championship as a junior, and served as team captain during her senior season in 2004-05. While in college, she also served as an assistant coach for the Cincinnati Royals AAU team in 2004, and assisted the coaches of the Indiana All-Stars in 2003.
