Post-season accolades continue to roll in for Western Carolina men's golfer J.T. Poston following a very successful 2013-14 season. The junior from Hickory, N.C., was tabbed third team All-America as selected and released by Golfweek.

Poston was the only golfer from the Southern Conference - men's or women's - selected to one of the three, 10-member squads and 20 recognized as Honorable Mention. It is the second All-America honor for Poston this year as he was also a Division I PING All-America Honorable Mention. Poston was additionally selected PING All-East Region for the second time in his career.
Poston finished the 2013-14 season ranked 24th nationally according to Golfweek's collegiate individual ratings system with a rating of 70.02. The site also lists that he compiled an individual record of 748-63-16 overall in terms of individual finishing order against competitors on the year with one win over an individual ranked inside the top 25 and 12 combined victories over top 100 rated golfers.
The SoCon Men's Golfer of the Year, Poston recorded nine top 10 finishes including placing in the top five eight times with four individual medalist honors in his 11 seasonal events. He recorded WCU's all-time best single-season scoring average at 70.27. A combined 26 of his 33 seasonal rounds were carded at even-par or better including 16 rounds in the 60s
Poston will enter his senior year atop Western Carolina's career stroke average chart at 71.97.
Poston adds the two All-America plaudits to a resume that includes being on both the Ben Hogan and Haskins Award watch lists, as well as the short list for the United State's Palmer Cup squad.
