Cashiers, N.C. - UAB's Garrett Osborn fired a 65, one stroke off the course record to take a three-stroke round one lead at the annual WCU Intercollegiate, played on the par 71, 6404-yard Trillium Golf Links and Lake Club. Osborn's Blazers are also leading the way through 18 holes by five strokes, with their 281.

In addition to Osborn's outstanding play, UAB's Josh Thompson had a hole-in-one on the 212-yard hole number 15.

Radford stands in second in the team (286) and individual standings as the Highlander's Chris Dillow carded a career-low 68.

Western is in ninth place, firing a 303.

The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday, starting at 9:00 am.
