The Hummingbird Intercollegiate - Round One Results / Round Two Pairings/Tee Times

Nationally-ranked Central Florida carded an opening round three-under, 281, on Monday to lead the 14-team field at The Hummingbird Intercollegiate being held at the par 71, 6,767-yard Country Club of Sapphire Valley. Host and defending tournament champion, Western Carolina, is fourth, 13 strokes off the pace after shooting 294 over the opening 18 holes.
The second and final round is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 4 with tee times beginning at 9:30 am.
UCF, which entered the tournament with a 34th ranking according to GolfStat, holds a two-stroke advantage over second-place Vanderbilt (283), which finished in the second position at last year's event. The University of Akron is 10 strokes back at 293 in third, followed by Western Carolina (294) and Radford (295), rounding out the top five.
A pair of Golden Knights sit atop the individual leader board as UCF's David Johnson leads teammate Brad Schneider and Vanderbilt's Hudson Johnson by a stroke, 67-to-68. Schneider posted a tourney-high six birdies on Monday, but could not overtake his teammate for the day one lead.
For Western Carolina, defending individual medalist, senior Andres Cuenca, is tied for fourth after firing a one-under, 70, on Monday while a second Catamount, freshman Martin Summer who is playing as an individual, is also in the clubhouse amidst the five-way tie for fourth-place. Joining the Catamount tandem in fourth is Samford's Bobby Baird, Vanderbilt's Ryan Haselden and Scott Landreth from Akron.
WCU's Summer leads the tourney in par 5 scoring, playing the longest holes on the day at three-under (4.00), while Cuenca ranks tied for first in par 4 scoring (two-under, 3.82).
Juniors Ricky Stout and Drew Miller are tied for 29th on the field after shooting three-over, 74. Senior Dustin Furnari, who was the tournament runner-up a season ago, is tied for 45th after shooting a five-over, 76, with freshman Kyle Wilson rounding out WCU's team scorers in a tie for 56th, 78.
Behind the consistent play of both Miller and Stout - both of which finished with 14 pars out of the opening 18 holes - WCU leads the tournament in par scores with 63 through the first round. Cuecna is tied for fourth with four birdies and tied for sixth with 13 pars during his one-under round.
In addition to Summer, other Catamounts playing as individuals include junior Cody Walker and sophomore Caleb Marsh, both of which are tied for 53rd following opening round scores of six-over, 77. Junior Benjy Davey is one stroke in arrears, tied for 56th at seven-over, 78, while junior Rylan Lanham carded 40 on both the front and back nines for an even 80, tied for 75th.
