Sunset Beach, S.C. - The Western Carolina men's gold team fired rounds of 292 and 281 for a total of 573 to lead the 21-team field by three strokes at the Sea Trail Men's Intercollegiate. The Catamount women's team turned in an round of 295 and stand in second place among the 18-team field through round one of the Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate. In addition to team success, Matt Cook is tied for the individual lead through 36 holes, posting a 140 (72-68). On the women's side, Ashley Hovda is also tied for the individual lead, carding a 68 through the first 18 holes.

The 54-hole event will conclude today. Please check back late Sunday for complete results.
