Orlando, Fla. -
Western Carolina sophomore Matt Cook rallied to shoot a 74, 12 shots better than his opening round score, on the second day of the NCAA East Regional, played at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club. Cook, who is the first Catamount to play in the NCAA men's postseason, will wrap up his tournament with 18 holes on Saturday.
Cook looked to be in for another long day Friday, getting a double bogey and a single bogey through his first five holes. However, he birdied the par three sixth and played even par over his final 12 holes with two birdies and two bogeys.
