2010 Seminole Intercollegiate - Final Results
Tallahassee, Fla. - Western Carolina careded its best round of the three-day event, carding a collective 298 on Sunday and finished 13th overall with a 54-hole score of 912 at the prestigious Seminole Intercollegiate hosted by Florida State University at the par 71 Southwood Golf Course. FSU won the 14-team event, edging South Carolina by one stroke, 865-to-866, after both squads shot identical scores of 289 over the final 18 holes. Arkansas and North Texas finished tied for third at 873, eight strokes off the pace with Vanderbilt two strokes in arrears at 875 to round out the top five teams. Seath Lauer of Florida State and USC's Paul Woodbury finished tied for the individual medalist honors at one-under, 212. The Seminole's Wesley Graham and North Carolina's Jack Fields each finished tied for third, two strokes back after shooting one-over, 214. For Western Carolina, senior Ricky Stout led the team, bookending his tournament with two rounds of even-par 71 with a 77 on Saturday's second round to finish at six-over, 219. Classmate Drew Miller shot 229 to finish tied for 50th, while a third senior, Tanner Briele, placed tied for 57th after a three-day total of 232. Rounding out the Catamounts lineup were Kyle Wilson (234, 61st-t) and Trey White (240, 71st). WCU returns to action this Thursday through Sunday at the Furman Intercollegiate at the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C. The practice round is scheduled for Thursday, March 18, with the next three days to feature 18 holes apiece to make-up the 54-hole event.
