Buies Creek, N.C. - The Western Carolina men's golf team stands in ninth place after 18 holes in the 15-team field at Campbell's Hargrove Davis Spring Classic, played at Keith Hills Country Club No. 1. However, the Catamounts' 310 only stands 10 strokes out of first and four strokes from fourth as Liberty leads the way with a 300 team score in round one. Individually, Matt Cook fired a three-over 75, standing three strokes off the lead and being tied for ninth. Not all of the teams were able to complete Monday's second round due to darkness. The second round of the 54-hole tournament will be completed Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., followed by the final 18.
