Oct. 27, 2008

Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina head football coach Dennis Wagner will be the featured guest on Monday, Oct. 27 at the Catamount Coaches' Luncheon that will be held in the First Floor Hospitality Room of the Ramsey Center.

The buffet style lunch begins at 11:45 am at a cost of just $8.00 per person.

Western Carolina is coming off a heart-breaking, 38-31, overtime loss to Georgia Southern last Saturday in Cullowhee. The Catamounts will look to bounce back at home, however, against the Chattanooga Mocs this coming Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1:00 pm at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field.

WCU will celebrate its Hall of Fame Day this weekend, honoring its five newest inductees into its Athletics Hall of Fame - former football players John Ruta (1962-65), Alonzo Carmichael (1983-86) and Brad Hoover (1996-99) along with track and field star Tony McKennie (1986-90) and baseball standout Jason Beverlin (1992-94).

Also, there will be a special recognition of the 1983 Catamount Football team celebrating the 25th anniversary of its appearance in the NCAA Division I FCS (I-AA) National Championship game.
