Women's Soccer, Football to be Featured Guests on 'In the Litterbox' TONIGHT (Wednesday) on WWCU, Cullowhee

Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina head women's soccer coach Tammy DeCesare and head football coach Kent Briggs will be the in studio guests on "In the Litterbox" tonight from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm on WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 in Cullowhee. The two coaches, which open their respective seasons this weekend, will be joined by several student-athletes during the hour-long, call-in talk show.

The Catamount women's soccer team opens its 2007 season this Friday in a two-match road swing out west. WCU will visit Wyoming this Friday, Aug. 31 and will travel to Greeley, Colo., to face Northern Colorado on Sunday, Sept. 2.

Western kicks off its 2007 football season this Saturday, Sept. 1 at Bryant-Denny Stadium against the first-year head coach Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

"ITL" is a weekly interactive sports talk show that highlights Western Carolina Catamount athletics. Each week includes recaps of WCU current events, as well as in-studio interviews with Catamount personalities. The show is hosted by WCU student, Josh Thompson, of Lincolnton, N.C., and produced by station student general manager, Kyle McCurry.

WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 continues to serve as the Flagship Station of Catamount Athletics this season, broadcasting Catamount football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball. WWCU has also been a partner with WCU Athletics in broadcasting the SoCon Women's Soccer Championship and NCAA tournametn appearance, as well as the first-ever Catamount Softball games two years ago continuing with both the softball and baseball SoCon tournaments.
