Cullowhee, N.C. - Heavy rains on Saturday afternoon forced the postponement of the scheduled Catamount football scrimmage at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field. The team will attempt to hold its scrimmage session beginning at 7:00 pm Saturday night.
Rainfall, preceded by a brief period of hail, began around 3:15 pm and lasted late into the afternoon.The team and officials waited for over an hour past the original scheduled start time of the scrimmage before deciding to push it until later in the evening.
