The continuing question and answer series with Western Carolina football today highlights Tyler Junius, a senior defensive tackle from Winder, Ga.

Western Carolina continues its preseason practice on Friday evening with the fourth session of the 2017 fall camp - the second-consecutive day in helmets and shoulder pads. The squad will work in full pads for the first time this preseason on Saturday afternoon (3:15-5:15 pm) on the turf at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field before taking Sunday off from practice for meetings and the annual on-campus Media/Photo Day (3:30-6:00 pm).

Junius: Spiderman

Junius: Cookies and cream.

Junius: Every day is funny with my team.

Junius: Aaron Donald

Favorite off-season activity?
Junius: Basketball games.

What has been your favorite class to take at WCU?
Junius: Theater

Do you have any pregame ritual and do you also have a favorite pre-game meal?
Junius: My pregame ritual is going out on the field before warm-ups and stretches. My favorite pre-game meal is lasagna and sliced potatoes.

What four things would you take on a deserted island?
Junius: I would bring Kobe Express, water to drink, a boat and a tent to sleep in.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Junius: Multi-millionaire

What does it mean to you to play in front of a large home-game crowd at WCU?
Junius: It's a blessing in itself just to be playing this game at this level and as far as playing in front of a crowd, that is a blessing as well.



Who is your favorite roommate during road games?
Junius: Sheldon Kinard

What was the best advice you were ever given?
Junius: Be thankful and grateful for what you have, because someone always has it worse.

What is your main strength and weakness?
Junius: My strength is I have a very positive attitude because I always try to look on the bright side of things. I see my weakness as trying to please everyone.

What are you looking forward to most about playing a game in Hawaii?
Junius: I am looking forward to a win and soaking up the experience.

What inspired you as a kid to want to play football?
Junius: Most of my friends and cousins played football and I was getting too big to play soccer.

One major goal of the 2017 season?
Junius: Win a SoCon Championship.

What is your favorite quote or saying from Head Coach Mark Speir?
Junius: Galatians 6:9: Don't grow weary of doing good, in due time a man should reap what he sows.

Favorite thing about playing a home game at Western Carolina?
Junius: The third down turn up.

What was the first thing that went through your mind when you put on a WCU jersey for a game for the first time and what will your thoughts be when you put one on for the last time?
Junius: The first time I put a WCU jersey, I couldn't believe that I was playing at this level. The last time I put on a Catamount jersey, I will realize I will never step it up again.
