Poindexter: Spiderman, he's just as smart as Batman (Bruce Wayne) and has special gadgets and no weaknesses.

Poindexter: Chocolate and strawberry.

Poindexter: Everyday something happens that I can't stop laughing about.
Who is your favorite athlete or role model?
Poindexter: My dad, Clay Poindexter.
Favorite off-season activity?
Poindexter: Chilling with my boys.
What has been your favorite class to take at WCU?
Poindexter: Theatre. I have been called the Will Ferrell of my generation.
Do you have any pre-game rituals and do you have a favorite pre-game meal?
Poindexter: I make a playlist every season. I listen to the playlist before every game. I have eaten the same pre-game meal for four years. I don't have a favorite, but Coach [Mark] Speir does.
What four things would you take on a deserted island?
Poindexter: Water proof matches, canteen, machete and sunscreen and bathing suit.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Poindexter: An architect.
What does it mean to you to play in front of a large home-game crowd at WCU?
Poindexter: Playing in front of a big crowd is great. The atmosphere is great and all eyes are on you. I enjoy making people proud.

Poindexter: If you give 110 percent, you will succeed 110 percent of the time.
What is your main strength and weakness?
Poindexter: I see my strengths as a great personality, soft eyes and great locks of hair. My weaknesses are ice cream, all you can eat buffets and Star Wars.
What are you looking forward to most about playing a game in Hawaii?
Poindexter: Long walks on the beach.
What inspired you as a kid to want to play football?
Poindexter: I grew up in Winston-Salem watching the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. I've always wanted to be a football player.

Poindexter: The fans and atmosphere.
What was the first thing that went through your mind when you put on a WCU jersey for a game?
Poindexter: When I first put on my WCU uniform I thought this is going to be intense. The last time I put on a WCU uniform I will think who knew a 23-year-old could feel like he’s 65.
