2008 Catamount Football Spring Roster - Updated April 8th
Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina today announced ticketing changes for the rapidly approaching 2008 Catamount Football season, which includes the switching of the home sideline back to the East Side and making E.J. Whitmire Stadium completely reserved seating, eliminating the general admission sections.
Also, renewals for WCU season ticket holders were mailed out this week and should be arriving in mailboxes across the region by week's end. The renewal deadline is July 1, 2008.
"We want our student body to be a huge part of our football team. By moving our sideline back to the East side, we will have their support - and the support of our fans - right behind us, helping push our team at every home game. We also have a tremendous band here at Western and I like the idea of them behind our opponent causing chaos," said first-year head coach Dennis Wagner.
With the sideline change, there will be Catamount Club sections designated on both sides of the stadium to offer loyal donors the chance to have the best of either side they choose. These sections are KK on the West side and section DD on the East side. Both offer chair-back seating and great views of the field.

If you are currently not a Catamount Club member and would like to take advantage of the priority, you can call the Catamount Club at (828) 227-3047 and join today so you won't miss a game from these great seats.
Also on the West side, Section J will be designated as the "Family Zone," offering families a place to enjoy the games with other families and kids looking to experience Catamount Football. All Family Packs will be assigned in this section, as well as anyone else that wishes to specify for their seats in this section when purchasing a youth ticket with their adult tickets.
In addition to the changes at the stadium, the WCU Ticket Office is amidst changing ticketing systems to better serve its customers, while also allowing the ticket holder more control over their account. Each customer will be given an online account that will house all ticket purchases, as well as allow ticketing changes, reprints or transfers to another party or back to Western Carolina Athletics so the seats do not go unused.
Also, each season ticket holder will be issued a ticket card this year that essentially works like a credit card with all of the ticket information housed on it. The card can be scanned at the gate to allow access into the stadium. If at any time the ticket holders should choose to not use the card, they can sign into their online account and print paper tickets to use instead.
All of the ticketing information for the 2008 season is available online at www.CatamountSports.com, which includes an updated seating arrangement chart and ticket prices. Fans can also access the ticket information by clicking HERE.
Western Carolina continues its annual Spring Drills on Tuesday afternoon on the turf at Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field. The Catamounts will break on Wednesday, taking part in a community service project before returning to the field on Thursday for three-straight days of practice entering the weekend with a controlled scrimmage slated for Saturday morning.
Drills will culminate with the annual Spring Game, which is set for Saturday, April 19th at 1:00 pm. Festivities kickoff with the first-ever, "A Taste of Tailgating" beginning at Noon on the West Side patio located just inside the stadium.
