Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina head football coach Kent Briggs announced the addition of Elroy Carson and Trevan Davis to yesterday's list of student-athletes who have signed National Letters of Intent with the Catamounts.

"Elroy was one of the most recruited football players in South Carolina after his junior season," Briggs said. "An injury forced him to miss a majority of the season, but he really did some positive things for his team once he returned. We are fortunate to have the opportunity for him to showcase his skills.

"Trevan showed good skills at tailback in high school," Briggs said. "He has good speed and good hip movement. That combination will give him the ability to be a good defensive back, which is where we hope to play him.
