CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) - Zack Jaynes threw three touchdown passes to lead Western Carolina to a 27-7 victory over Chattanooga on Saturday.

Jaynes threw for only 146 yards but hit Andrerius Thomas on scoring passes of 21 and 17 yards and connected with Adam Hearns on a 4-yard score as the Catamounts (3-7, 1-5 Southern Conference) snapped a 20-game conference losing streak.

Erroll Wynn led Chattanooga (1-8, 0-5) with 95 yards rushing on 22 carries.

Jaynes' scoring pass to Hearns gave Western Carolina a 7-0 with 6:47 remaining in the first quarter.

Blake Bostic hit second-quarter field goals of 20 and 26 yards to extend the lead to 13-0 at halftime before Chattanooga's Raeshon Ball returned an interception 41 yards cut it to 13-7 with 3:51 left in the third quarter.

Jaynes hit Thomas on a 21-yard score with 14:13 remaining in the game, and four minutes later, the duo connected on a 17-yard touchdown pass for the final margin.

The Catamounts had four sacks and held the Moccasins to 178 yards of offense.
