Jacoby Mitchell recorded career-high 144 receiving yards, two touchdowns

2011 (Senior): Started all 11 games along the defensive front, one of just three players to start every game on the season - one of two on the defensive line ... Finished with 32 tackles including 10 solo stops and three tackles for loss ... Recorded five tackles twice, doing so in the season-opener at Georgia Tech and again against The Citadel ... Posted a season-high six tackles against Elon ... Was tied for the team lead with three others with two forced fumbles, but led the squad with three fumble recoveries ... Named the team's defensive player of the game twice during the season, earning the honor following the Furman game and again after the Wofford game ... Recorded four tackles with a fumble forced and recovered against the nationally-ranked Terriers ... Credited with three quarterback hurries.

2010 (Junior): Started eight of the nine games in which he saw action ... Missed the season opener at North Carolina State due to a team-imposed suspension for the violation of team rules ... Finished with 24 tackles on the season including 10 solo stops ... Recorded 6.5 tackles for loss ... Led the team with four quarterback sacks ... Forced two fumbles to match the team lead and was credited with one pass breakup ... Tallied a career-high seven tackles including five solo stops in the road win at The Citadel ... Named the team's defensive player of the week follwoing his three tackle for loss performance against Tusculum.

2009 (Sophomore): Started all 10 games in which he saw action, missing the season-opener at SEC-foe, Vanderbilt, due to the lasting effects of the flu ... Finished with 18 tackles including seven solo stops ... Had three tackles for eight yards in losses including half a sack ... Recorded three tackles in a game on four different occasions.

2008 (Freshman): Played in nine games with four starts on the defensive front as a true freshman ... Made his first career start at Wofford at "Buck" ... Finished the season with 12 tackles including three unassisted ... Blocked a third quarter punt in the home win over Chattanooga.

High School: Was named All-Area by the Daily Citizen newspaper ... Recorded 59 tackles with six quarterback sacks and played in the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star game his senior season ... Was also named 7-4A All-Region and All-Area as a junior ... Along with current Catamount signee, Nathan Postelle, hhelped Whitfield HS finish ranked 10th in the final AP AAAA rankings and tie for the winningest class in school history, helping the Bruins reach the 2007 and 2008 state Class 4A playoffs ... Over the summer, played for the Georgia team in the Tennessee-Georgia All-Star game at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga ... Was an all-state wrestler, aiding Whitfield in capturing the Area 7-4A traditional wrestling tournament title and earn a spot at state duals, placing third at area and fourth at state traditional.
