Used his speed to be an effective pass rusher, as well as a valuable member of the special teams ... Was credited with three tackles on the season, including a half sack in the season opener versus Mars Hill ... Scored a touchdown off a Nicholas Wishart blocked punt at Chattanooga ... Wishart blocked the punt on the 32 and, after being knocked around, Nelums fell on the loose ball in the endzone for the score.
Prior to Western: An All-State selection ... Listed as one of the top 50 players in South Carolina ... An all-area and all-region pick as well ... As a senior, caught 30 passes for 500 years and two touchdowns, while tallying 75 tackles with five sacks on defense.
