Western Carolina played Chattanooga Saturday afternoon as the Catamounts honored their seniors and the three newest members of the WCU Athletics Hall of Fame.
Western Carolina defeated Mars Hill in its home opener, 52-31, at E.J. Whitmire Stadium.
2011 (Junior): Played in nine games on the year, twice starting in the offensive backfield ... Earned his first career start at nationally-ranked Wofford ... Finished second on the team with 331 yards rushing on a team-high 96 carries ... Scored two rushing touchdowns including plowing in from four yards out in the season opener at Georgia Tech and on a one-yard plunge at Chattanooga ... Posted nine-or-more carries in five games on the year ... Added three catches for 56 yards to total 373 all-purpose yards, averaging 41.4 yards per game ... Set a career-high with 104 yards on the ground against Mars Hill ... Rushed a career-high 30 times for 83 yards at Samford, earning the team's offensive player of the week honor ... Carried the ball 13 times for 111 yards and a pair of scores, adding three catches for 40 yards in WCU's annual Spring Game ... Had a long rush of 51 yards in the scrimmage.
Prior to Western Carolina: Played in 11 games over two seasons at Glendale Community College, scoring nine combined touchdowns ... Rushed 146 times for 536 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore ... Added 26 catches for 290 yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns ... Rushed a career-best 22 times for 100 yards against New Mexico Military Institute on Nov. 13, 2010 ... Only played in one game during his freshman season, rushing seven times for 47 yards while scoring two rushing TDs.
