During the summer of 2005, set a WCU record with a bench press of 505 pounds and ran a time of 4.98 in the 40-yard dash, the best for a Catamount offensive lineman ... In addition to being an All-Southern Conference candidate in football, is an outstanding track & field athlete ... In 2005, scored in the SoCon Indoor Championships with a fourth-place finish in the weight throw (51'11") ... Helped WCU win the 2004 SoCon Indoor Championship ... Scored in the weight throw, finishing seventh with a distance of 44'10.25" ... During the outdoor season, participated in the hammer, shot put and discus.
2004 (Jr.): Started all 11 games at left guard ... Even though Furman was allowing just 101 rushing yards per game, McAlmont helped Western roll up 181 rushing yards against the Paladins, which was the team's best performance versus a I-AA team in 2004 ... Western's offensive line also helped the Cats rush for 152 yards in a win over Appalachian State.
2003 (So.): Played in all 12 games, starting nine ... Made the move from defensive tackle to offensive tackle ... Began to establish himself as one of the top offensive linemen ... His increasingly solid play forced him into the Catamount starting line up at left guard for the Citadel game ... Remained a starter at the spot the remainder of the season ... Helped Western lead the SoCon in passing as the offensive line only allowed 11 sacks in a SoCon-high 433 pass attempts or one sack every 40.36 pass attempts.
2002 (Fr.): Played in seven games as a true freshman, starting the season finale versus Appalachian State ... Ended the season with five tackles and one pass break up.
Prior to Western: Was named Creekside's Most Valuable Lineman, leading the Seminoles to a 13-1 record as a junior ... Tabbed All-South Metro Atlanta and honorable mention All-State ... Graded out at over 85 percent for the season as an offensive lineman ... National Honor Society member.
