Prior to the 2004 SoCon Outdoors, Lee was named the Arby's/Catamount Male Athlete of the Month for April as he finished third in the javelin at Georgia Tech's Yellow Jacket Invitational on with a conference-leading throw of 195'1"1 ... His mark tied what was then a Western Carolina record and, as he went through spring drills, the meet at Tech was his first competition of the outdoor season ... Later in the month, finished first and set a school record in the javelin with a toss of 199'10" at Davidson's Irwin Belk Invitational ... Got his start on the track team during the 2003 season ... With little practice and not competing in his first two years at Western, stepped in and won the 2003 Southern Conference title in the javelin (193'8") ...
