2007 (R-Jr.): Started all 11 games on the year at rush end, the second-straight season he appeared in at least 10 contests ... Named Second Team All-Southern Conference by the SoCon Sports Media Association ... Finished the season with 43 total tackles, including 23 solo stops ... Had a team-high 15 tackles-for-loss, combining for a total of 58 yards lost ... His 15 TFL were second-best in the SoCon and tied for 28th-highest in all of NCAA Division I FCS football ... Also tied for third in the league with 4.5 sacks ... Had a season-high seven tackles against nationally-ranked Elon, with a team seasonal-high three for loss and 1.5 sacks, all of which were his top numbers for the season ... Garnered the coaches' Game MVP award after the Elon game ... Also had three TFL against eventual national champion Appalachian State, accounting for 16 total yards lost with one sack ... Recorded two tackles, including one for a loss, in WCU's annual Spring Game.

2006 (R-So.): Played in 10 of the 11 games, starting one at defensive tackle and the final four lined up as a defensive end ... Was injured during the Furman game and missed the Georgia Southern game ... Recorded 19 total tackles, including 12 solo stops and five tackles for loss ... Returned to the lineup 100-percent against Wofford, earning the co-Defensive MVP by the coaches ... Also started at DE at Liberty and was once again named the team's Defensive MVP, getting a career-high six stops ... Although only credited with two tackles, was named co-Defensive MVP by the coaches for his effort versus Appalachian State for the third consecutive game -- and fourth time on the year ... Was also named team Defensive MVP by the coaches for the Eastern Kentucky game.

2005 (R-Fr.): Played in all nine contests, starting four at defensive tackle ... Was credited with 11 stops on the season ... Registered a season-high four tackles, all solo, in a win over Chattanooga ... The previous week, had three tackles at Georgia Southern.

2004 (Fr.): Redshirted.

Comes from a football family as both his father (Ed) and grandfather (Ed, Sr.) played at Wake Forest ... His father played eight seasons professionally, winning a pair of Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers (1974, `75) with his grandfather playing for the legendary George "Papa Bear" Halas in Chicago.
