WCU ranked third in the SoCon in net punting, while All-SoCon punter Tim Mayse, who ranked 11th nationally, led the league in average for the second year ... WCU kickers Stephen Brown and Jonathan Parsons were a combined 23-of-24 for PATs and 4-of-6 for FGs.

2003 (RFr.): Played in five games, starting the first four as WCU's long snapper ... Also played in the Gardner-Webb game ... Specialized in snapping for placements kicks.

Prior to Western: Two-year letterman at Freedom High School, playing offensive and defensive line as well as being a deep snapper ... Helped Freedom to a pair of 8-3 seasons and two playoff appearances ... Also a three-time letterman in track, participating in the shot put and discus ... Placed in the top five in the conference in the discus as a senior.
