After the 2005 Spring Practices, was tabbed "Offensive Most Improved Athlete" by the Catamount coaches ... During the 2004 spring drills, he was named "Offensive Skill Most Valuable Player" by the coaching staff.

2005 (Jr.): Played in all nine games, showing his versatility by playing wide receiver, quarterback and punt returner ... Started eight of nine games ... One of the starts came as a quarterback at Chattanooga, helping the team score a field goal on its opening drive ... Also saw action at quarterback at Georgia Southern, getting a 15-yard run to setup WCU's lone score ... Was WCU's leading receiver for the season, catching 28 passes for 374 yards ... Ranked sixth in the SoCon in receptions (3.11), while ranking fourth in receiving yards (41.6 ypg) ... Best game was a four-catch, 86-yard game in WCU's win over Furman ... Had four receptions in four other games ... Had 79 receiving yards in WCU's win over Wofford ... Was part of WCU's 96-yard kickoff return for a TD versus The Citadel ... Brown caught the ball, returned it six yards and lateraled the ball to Nick Miller, who took it 92 yards for the score.

2004 (So.): Played in 10 games, starting the West Virginia State contest ... Caught two passes for 17 yards, including a four yarder at Furman and a 13 yarder versus Georgia Southern.

2003 (RFr.): Played in all 12 games ... Caught eight passes for 140 yards ... However, his average of 17.5 yards per catch was tops on the team ... Average was bolstered by hauling in a 42-yard touchdown reception from Brian Gaither versus Johnson C. Smith ... Not only was that Brown's first TD, but his first career reception as well ... Had two receptions versus both Wofford (42 yards) and Elon (48 yards).

2002 (Fr.): Redshirted.

Prior to Western: Named Western North Carolina Player of the Year by the Asheville Citizen-Times ... Took over as Murphy's quarterback in the first game and led them to a 12-2 record ... Completed 63-of-118 passes for 1,125 yards and 15 touchdowns ... Rushed for 804 yards on 132 attempts with 16 touchdowns ... As a defensive back, recorded 41 tackles, a fumble recovery, five pass deflections and two interceptions ... Returned two kickoffs and one punt for touchdowns as a senior ... For his career, rushed for 2,534 yards and 33 TDs, passed for 1,125 yards and 15 TDs and had 648 receiving yards with three TDs.
