Cullowhee, N.C. - Catamount fans, help ring in the New Year with your Catamount men and women's basketball teams. You can round out your holiday season with three great Catamount hoops games!

The Catamount men's team returns home on Monday, Jan. 3 for "Pack the RAC" night as conference foe, Georgia Southern, comes to Cullowhee. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 pm and admission is free, courtesy of Verizon Wireless. Fans in attendance will also have a chance to register for a raffle for prize giveaways.

Western's women have back-to-back home games for the first time this season as they host a pair of Southern Conference opponents on January 5 and 8. First, the College of Charleston Cougars pay a visit to the Ramsey Center on Wednesday, January 8, 2005 at 7:00 pm. Western has won five-straight over the Cougars, and five of the last six played in Cullowhee.

On Saturday, January 8, the Lady Catamounts will have their "Pack the RAC" night as the Chattanooga Lady Mocs come to town in a rematch of last year's Southern Conference Championship. The game has a special 5:00 pm tip-off and admission is free, again courtesy of Verizon Wireless.

Free tickets for "Pack the RAC" contests are located at Jackson County Businesses or fans may pick them up at the gate; tickets are good for both games so fans should save their ticket. Fans will have the chance to register to win free Atlanta Hawks tickets during the men's game with Georgia Southern (Jan. 3) and/or until halftime of the women's game versus Chattanooga (Jan. 8). The winner will be drawn at the women's game versus Chattanooga and the winner must be present to win.

Fans can follow the Western men's squad immediately after the women's game as it travels to Chattanooga, Tenn., to face the Mocs at the site of this season's SoCon Tournament in March. Steve White and Gary Ayers will carry the Catamount Sports Network banner for that contest, which again can be heard on WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5.
