Larry Hunter, WCU Men's Basketball 'In the Litterbox' on Wednesday Night

Cullowhee, N.C. - Fresh off its trip to America's "last frontier" and the Great Alaska Shootout, Western Carolina head men's basketball coach Larry Hunter and the Catamount basketball program will be the featured guests on Wednesday (Dec. 3) night's edition of "In the Litterbox." Hunter will be joined by red-shirt freshman F Harouna Mutombo and true freshman G Greg Avery.

Fans can tune into the program from 7:00 until 8:00 pm on WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 in Cullowhee, or online at www.WWCUFM.com. Listeners can also phone in questions at (828) 227-7173.

Hunter and the Catamounts are off to a 3-2 start to the season and travel to Kent State (3-3) to face the Golden Flashes this Saturday night. WCU finished fourth in the Great Alaska Shootout, posting a 2-1 record with wins over Louisiana Tech and Northern Illinois and a one-point loss to eventual champion, San Diego State.

Both Avery and Mutombo garnered Player of the Game accolades during WCU's two tournament wins, with the latter earning All-tournament team honors after pacing WCU with a 16.3 point per game average, leading the tourney with 20 made field goals.

"ITL," which is in its fourth season, is a weekly, interactive sports talk show that airs on the Flagship Station of Catamount Athletics, WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 in Cullowhee. Each week's call-in show features interviews with WCU Athletics personalities and recaps of the happenings with Catamount sports.

WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 continues to serve as a primary outlet for following Catamount Athletics, broadcasting Catamount football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball. WWCU has also been a partner with WCU Athletics in broadcasting two SoCon Women's Soccer Championships and NCAA tournament appearance, as well as the first-ever Catamount Softball games continuing with both the softball and baseball SoCon tournaments.
