The Western Carolina athletics department today announced that both season and single-game tickets for the 2005-06 Catamount men's and women's basketball season are on sale. Again partnered with TicketsXchange, fans can purchase tickets through the new online ticketing system.
Season ticket packages include reserved and general admission options for the men and general admission only for the women. There is also a "Little Cat" reserved and general admission season ticket for youth ages 3-17. Western is also offering a general admission "All Hoops Pass" which entitles the bearer to admission to the general admission sections for all home men's and women's basketball games. All ticket prices for the season ticket packages are available online at www.CatamountSports.com.
Single-game tickets for Catamount men's basketball non-conference games are $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for youth, with Southern Conference adult tickets costing $11.00 and $5.00 for youth. Lady Catamount individual game tickets are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for youth for all games.
TicketsXchange is a secured Internet site that allows the use of Visa or Mastercard credit cards for purchases 24-hours a day. Fans have the option to print paper E-tickets with a scannable bar code from their home computer or have tickets mailed directly to them. Tickets purchased the week of the game will be held at Will Call.
The Catamount basketball team will hold an exhibition on Wednesday, November 2 in the Ramsey Center, hosting Tusculum at 7:00 pm. Western opens its regular season in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Classic in Blacksburg, Va., battling Bowling Green, Radford, and Virginia Tech. The home portion of the 2005-06 schedule opens on Friday, Nov. 18 as the Catamounts host defending NIT champion, South Carolina, at 6:00 pm.
The defending Southern Conference tournament champion Lady Catamounts begin play with an exhibition in Cullowhee on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 5:00 pm. The Lady Cats hit the road for four contests to begin the season, including facing defending national runner-up, Michigan State, and ACC-member Florida State before opening its home season on Saturday, Dec. 3 in doubleheader action against UNC Asheville in the annual Mountain Hoops Classic.
