CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Catch every second of the excitement of Western Carolina men's and women's basketball by getting season tickets to every home event for the 2009-10 season. Both teams are poised to defend their respective titles.
Season tickets will be available for purchase starting today. Special ticketing prices include $50 for the whole season for the men's or women's home schedule and $25 for youth. A family package for $100 includes two adults and two youth tickets. If fans are interested in catching both the men's and women's action, purchase an All Hoops pass for $75 or a Family All Hoops pass for $125.
Western Carolina women's basketball will attempt to defend its 2009 Southern Conference Tournament title under new Head Coach Karen Middleton. The squad returns nine letter-winners, two starters and welcomes four newcomers to the club.
The Catamount men's team also brings a wealth of experience and will be defending their Southern Conference North Division crown. Five seniors lead the club including All-Conference performer Brandon Giles and Brigham Waginger who last season broke the Catamount record for steals in a single season with 81 - which also paced the Southern Conference and ranked 10th nationally.
